Akagami no Shirayuki-hime will follow the red haired medicine woman, Shirayuki (her name literally means Snow White), who has the rare hair color of red. Her country’s prince begins courting her, and because of this, she runs away to another country. There, she meets Zen, the prince of that country and as he gains her respect, she decides to serve as a doctor in his care.

Hanasaku Iroha director, Masahiro Ando will be at the helm of this new project as the director with Noragami scriptwriter Deko Akao writing the screenplay. The anime will truly be having a shoujo manga feel as Kumiko Takahashi, best known for her work on Cardcaptor Sakura and Ouran High Host Club, will be doing the character designs.
