After all the success, all the sold-out concerts, the best-selling singles, one very successful movie, and a lot of fans prostrating themselves and groveling, an era in the history of anime is about to end, as Love Live!‘s μ’s will be saying their goodbyes in a farewell concert titled “μ’s Final Love Live!”
“μ’s Final Love Live!” will be the final concert before μ’s will officially break up as their contracts are set to expire by the end of March 2016. This was announced during a special program, which also announced that there will be several events which will lead up to the concert, which will be held for two days, from March 31 – April 1, 2016. These events include screenings of the TV anime and movie, and live streams of several love Live! concerts.
It was also announced that the final single released by the “school idols” will be on March 2, 2015. However, fret not as there is a follow-up project known as Love Live! Sunshine, and their group, Aquors, are the spiritual successors to Honoka, Kotori, Umi, Eli, Nico, Nozomi, Hanayo, Rin, and Maki, who of course make up the school idol group known as μ’s. They will be taking over the mantle for μ’s after their contracts expire.
The group has had a stellar year together, which will be capped off by an appearance in the prestigious Kouhaku Uta-Gassen New Year special.
