Koei Tecmo issues official statement on Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 not being released in the west

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is not getting a western release for the North American and European territories, and this decision has caused quite an uproar to a lot of fans of the franchise. This came when the official Dead or Alive Facebook page confirmed that it will only be released in Japan and in Asia.

While it is possible to import the game’s English version Asia release, many who wanted a localized NA or PAL version were quite disappointed with the news, with many fans blaming feminist movements such as the Social Justice Warriors for DOA Xtreme 3 not getting released out west. To this, Koei Tecmo issued an official statement, which said that the response in Facebook was not the company’s official position but just the manager’s opinion on the matter.

The Dead or Alive franchise has long been the target of many feminists as sexist and “does not portray women in a realistic light.” Though this may not be the official reason why the game is not getting released in North America and EU, many fans are still blaming them for it.

Many fans have also criticized Koei Tecmo themselves for giving into the feminist movement and deciding not to have a Western release.
