Ranma 1/2, InuYasha, and Rinne creator, Runiko Takahashi’s Urusei Yatsura, has influenced so many anime and mangas today, and Shogakukan and Shueisha is giving fans of this classic to a very special treat, by releasing limited edition figures of the anime/manga’s iconic heroine, Lum Invader, who may have been the very first “waifu” many people have had.
These life-size statues are supervised by the legendary mangaka, Rumiko Takahashi herself, and only 50 of these statues, which are made with fiber-reinforced plastic, which are definitely stronger than the usual PVC or ABC plastic used for figures, will be made, so it’s really a limited edition collector’s item.
However, since this life-size figure of Urusei Yatsura’s iconic overly-attached girlfriend is quite expensive at 1 million yen, they are launching a special campaign, which will have one (and only one) lucky winner. This lucky human being will be getting the Lum statue absolutely free is go to the official twitter page, follow it, and retweet a post. They can also visit the official Facebook page, like that page, and then like one specific post. It’s that simple.
But if you can really afford this 1 million yen statue, PALSHOP will be opening their pre-orders in mid-January.
