The Final Fantasy VII remake’s hype train cannot be stopped, and with PlayStation Experience 2015 comes a new trailer released by Square Enix, and it gives us a preview of the gameplay. They released both an English version and a Japanese version online:
Welp, I guess it’s back to Midgar! While no release date has been announced so far, the game will first be made for the PlayStation 4. Tetsuya Nomura will be directing the PS4 remake while Kazushige Nojima is returning to write the scenario.
Meanwhile, Sony started streaming an interview with Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase, who discussed the game’s battle system. According to Katase, the remake will completely be action-based and will have more of that action element that the original turn-based RPG we loved back in 1997. He also discussed a bit of the original game’s history. You can watch the video here:
