Prepare your appetites because you are about to become hungry again, as the heated kitchen battles of Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma is set to return for a second season, as announced by Weekly Shounen Jump! issue #2 for the year 2016.
This comes as Yuuto Tsukida and Shun Saeki’s popular cooking manga celebrates its 3rd anniversary since its launch. More details on this second season will be made in later dates.
Heck, the manga was even featured in the magazine’s cover to commemorate three years worth of Shokugekis!
Issue #2 of Weekly Shounen Jump! also confirms the event anime shown during Jump Festa 2015 last month will be released as a DVD and will be coming bundled with the manga’s Vol. 18 release. The Vol. 18 limited edition bundle with the event anime and manga will be hitting the shelves on May 2.
