New Digimon Adventure Tri. 2 visual showcases Mega Digivolutions for Mimi and Joe"s partners

In the original Digimon Adventure anime series, only Taichi and Tamato’s partner Digimon have been able to Digivolve to their Mega level Digivolutions, Wargreymon and Metal Garurumon respectively, however, the new poster for the second part of Digimon Adventure Tri. shows something that fans have been hoping for in 15 years…

Released via an update on the Digimon Adventure Tri. official website, the new visual shows Rosemon, the Mega Digivolution of Mimi’s partner Digimon, Palmon, and Vikemon, the e Mega Digivolution of Joe’s partner Digimon, Gomamon. Both final forms were never shown in the original anime, which has disappointed many fans.


Digimon Adventure Tri.’s second part, titled Ketsui, will be shown in Japanese theaters on March 12, 2016. It will continue the adventures of the original DigiDestined as they face new threats from the Digital World. The first part, Saikai, or Reunion, was not only shown in theaters across Japan, but was also released via iTunes, and was also streamed via Niconico Douga and Crunchyroll (selected countries) via a 4-episode format. The Blu-ray and DVD versions are slated for release next month on December 18, 2015.
