[VIDEO] Very first PV for first Kizumonogatari movie streamed

After YEARS of waiting, we are finally getting to see the very first PV for the upcoming Monogatari series prequel movie trilogy, Kizumonogatari, which shows us a few scenes from the first movie, Kizumonogatari I: Tekketsu-hen.

This first trailer was shown during the Madogatari Exhibition, which celebrates Shaft’s 40th anniversary. It tells of the very first meeting between Koyomi Araragi, and the vampire named Kiss-Shot-Acerola-Orion-Heart-Under-Blade, who any Monogarari fan knows is the former version of the series’ resident vampire loli, Shinobu Oshino.

The first movie will be titled “Tekketsu-hen” (Ⅰ鉄血篇) or “Iron-Blooded”, and definitely not to be confused with the latest Gundam anime, Iron-Blooded Orphans. “Tekketsu-hen” is slated to premiere on January 8, 2015 and advance movie tickets will be sold starting October 9, 2015. Tickets will cost 1,300 yen.

The second movie will be titled Nekketsu-hen (熱血篇) while the third movie will be titled Reiketsu-hen (冷血篇). Announcements about these two other movies will be made in the future, and hopefully won’t take us four more years. The website also announced the staff and cast, with Akiyuki Shinbo returning at the helm of the Monogatari series over at Shaft as chief director so expect plenty of head tilting.

That very official website was launched back in 2011, which was also when the anime movie adaptation of Kizumonogatari was announced. The film was originally slated for 2012, and then Fall 2013, and then it was put on hold indefinitely.
