The current Winter 2016 anime season is about to end, and fans are now excited to welcome the new batch of anime which will be introduced during the upcoming Spring 2016 season, which begins next month.
For this week’s poll, Charapedia has asked 10,000 anime fans to weigh-in on what upcoming new anime are they most excited about. Of the 10,000 voters, 52.2% are male, while 47.7% of female, and they had 60 titles to choose from, however, only the Top 20 were announced, and they are:
20 – Shounen Maid
19 – Mayoiga
18 – Ace Attorney
17 – Kiznaiver
16 – Ushio & Tora Season 2
15 – Bakuron
14 – RIN-NE Season 2
13 – Joker Game
12 – Hakuouki: Otogisoushi
11 – Mobile Suit Gundam UC RE: 0096
10 – Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu
9 – Netoge no Yome wa Onna no Ko ja nai to Omotta?
8 – Magi: Sinbad no Bouken
7 – The Asterisk War: The Academy City on the Water Season 2
6 – Macross Delta
5 – Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge
4 – My Hero Academia
3 – Bungou Stray Dogs
2 – Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto
1 – JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable
The result isn’t really surprising as Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is still one of the biggest and most popular titles in Japan, and the TV anime adaptation of Part 4 is something which fans have waited for, for a long time. As for the #2-ranked Sakamoto, the comedy manga this anime is based on has been quite the hit among readers and critics alike, so it getting 2nd place is not even surprising, and the same goes for both Bungou Stray Dogs and My Hero Academia.
Meanwhile, Boys’ Love (BL) manga, Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge, managed to pull an upset over Macross Delta for 5th place, while Ace Attorney barely made it to the Top 20, as it only made it to the list at #18.
