After years of waiting, we finally have news on the continuation of the Attack on Titan anime! During the “Shingeki Matsuri” event in Tokyo, the staff of the original anime announced new details for the anime’s second season, which will be premiering on spring 2017. They also revealed a new teaser visual:
The first season’s episode director, Masashi Koizuka, will be taking over as the director, with the first season’s director, Tetsuro Araki, moving on as the series’ chief director. They also revealed that the cast will be reprising their original roles.
The original anime premiered back in Spring 2013, and was one of the season’s three biggest surprises. The second season’s plans were announced back in 2014, however, they said it will be airing on 2016. Now, the second season is officially confirmed for Spring 2017.
