Taiga to the Chicago Bulls?! Kuroko"s Basketball officially teams up with the NBA

The NBA is Basketball’s most premiere professional league. They have been promoting the spread of the sport all over the world, including Japan. And what better way to promote the sport than by teaming up with the most popular basketball anime in the country, Kuroko’s Basketball, right?!

The collaboration will feature a total of eight NBA teams, which will be revealed gradually along with characters from the manga. Series creator, Tadatoshi Fujimaki himself chose these eight teams, and anime character designer Yoko Kikuchi will be posting new reveals daily. The first to be revealed is none other than Taiga Kagami wearing the jersey worn by the great Michael Jordan himself  (as well as the great Brian Scalabrine), the Chicago Bulls jersey.

Collaboration goodies will soon be announced in the days to come, and will be sold in several Japanese stores, including the Seibu Ikebukuro Flagship store. As for the Kuroko’s Basketball: Last Game movie, it premieres on March 18, 2017.
