Yesterday may have been the day that most singles dreaded, but for some people in Akihabara, it was a day of bliss. It was because several cosplayers around the so-called “Electric Town” were giving out chocolates, as well as other free gifts, to all those lonely hearts.
With Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale premiering later this week on 18th February, several SAO cosplayers, including ones for Asuna and Sinon, were handing out special message cards in Akiba.
Meanwhile, Sofmap featured renowned cosplayer, Miiko, as Hikari Karibuchi from Brave Witches before Valentine’s day on February 11. Like the SAO cosplayers, she also handed out Valentine cards to people to promote the Blu-ray release of Brave Witches.
On the next day, February 12, Gamers Akihabara featured popular cosplayer, Gaosama as Sistina Fibel from the upcoming anime, Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor. Instead of Valentine’s cards, she handed out actual Vday chocolates!
And on Vday itself, gamers Akihabara featured a Rem cosplayer for their special Re:Zero chocolate giveaway.
