The world’s premiere basketball league, the NBA, has teamed up with Kuroko’s Basketball for a special collaboration to promote the upcoming Kuroko’s Basketball: Last Game movie. Previously, they featured Taiga in a Chicago Bulls jersey, as well as other Kuroko’s Basketball characters in other NBA uniforms. Now, the eight planned crossover images are complete, starting with Daiki Aomine wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers jersey!
Aomine has been compared a lot to LeBron James, the Cavalier’s brash and powerful forward, who many say is a complete package… just like Aomine. “The King” tends to flop a lot though…
Meanwhile, the final character to complete the line-up is Yousen’s Tatsuya Himuro. Himuro grew up in the United States, and one iconic basketball city is New York, home to the New York Knicks.
The collaboration will feature a total of eight NBA teams, which will be revealed gradually along with characters from the manga. Series creator, Tadatoshi Fujimaki himself chose these eight teams, and anime character designer Yoko Kikuchi will be posting new reveals daily.
Collaboration goodies will soon be announced in the days to come, and will be sold in several Japanese stores, including the Seibu Ikebukuro Flagship store. As for the Kuroko’s Basketball: Last Game movie, it premieres on March 18, 2017.
