Snow Miku, Final Fantasy VII, Love Live Sunshine highlight annual Sapporo Snow Festival

Every year, the city of Sapporo in Hokkaido hosts their annual Sapporo Snow Festival. This year, a new crop of snow sculptures have been erected in the city as the Snow Festival officially begins!

One traditional Snow Festival icon is none other than Snow Miku. This year, she adopted a constellation theme, and that was clearly shown in her snow sculpture this year. An official merchandise store can also be found near the snow sculpture.

Much like previous Snow Festivals, Love Live! also participated this year, but for the first time, its AQOURS’ turn to finally get that Snow Sculpture treatment.

But one of the biggest highlights is Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII snow sculpture, which features Cloud taking on a one-winged Sephiroth.

Other highlights include current winter 2017 anime, School Girl Strikers, as well as Piko Taro of PPAP fame, Pokemon, Super Mario Bros, and even US President Donald Trump!
