Right now, the anime industry has all sorts of idol anime, from school-based ones like Love Live! to local town-based ones like LocoDol, and even political idols who are also Diet representatives like Idol Memories. But with all these idol anime, which female anime idols or groups shine the most?
Japanese anime news website, animeanime.jp, recently asked 883 people to vote for which female idols do they think shine the most. The poll includes both individual idols and idol groups. Here are the Top 10:
10 – * (Asterisk) (The iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls)
9 – WakeUp, Girls! (WakeUp, Girls!)
8 – New Generations (The iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls)
7 – Ranka Lee (Macross Frontier)
6 – Kirari Tsukishima (Kirarin Revolution)
5 – Sheryl Nome (Macross Frontier)
4 – AQOURS (Love Live! Sunshine!!)
3 – 765 PRO ALLSTARS (The iDOLM@STER)
2 – Walküre (Macross Delta)
1 – μ’s (Love Live!)
According to animeanime, μ’s won with an overwhelming amount of votes, taking in 30% of the total number of votes, followed by Walküre with 10%. Given Love Live’s popularity these days, it ain’t surprising that they won 1st place.
But with AQOURS failing to even reach the Top 3, it seems like the μ’s own “successors” have a lot to prove. Meanwhile, iDOLM@STER and Macross are still going strong, as both franchises having three entries each within the Top 10.
