Kyoto Animation’s new emotionally-charged anime film, A Silent Voice, is arguably one of the most anticipated animated movies to come from Japan this year, and their official YouTube channel has just started streaming a brand new trailer, which introduces us to some of the characters.
The manga follows the relationship between Shoya Ishida, and the deaf/ mute transfer student, Shoko Nishimiya. Shoya started bullying her with his classmates on the day they met, however, the tables soon turn when their classmates turn on Shoya as well. Years later, Shoya feels the need that he must see Shoko.
The anime adaptation was announced last year, and it was revealed that it won’t be a TV anime, but an animated film, and KyoAni is the one responsible for adapting it into an anime. The movie is slated to premiere on September 17, 2016 in Japan.
