Monkey punch’s timeless manga franchise, Lupin III, is getting itself a brand new anime movie, and this time, it will focus on the series’ resident swordsman, Goemon Ishikawa. The film will be titled Lupin the IIIrd Chikemuri no Ishikawa Goemon, or Lupin the Third: Goemon Ishikawa’s Spray of Blood.
Lupin III, Daisuke Jigen, Goemon Ishikawa, Fujiko Mine, and Koichi Zenigata have all been confirmed to be part of this new anime, with much of the main voice actors and staff from the previous movie, Lupin the Third: Jigen’s Gravestone, being confirmed to return.
According to the film’s teaser visual, the new anime movie will premiere on February 4, 2017. More details will be released in the days to come.
