A look at the four newest additions to Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax - Rentaro, Enju, Yukina and Kujou

Black bullet’s Rentaro Satomi and Enju Aihara, as well as Strike The Blood’s Yukina Himeragi and Kujou Akatsuki have now officially joined the Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax roster thanks to an update installed in the arcade games last July 15, 2014 and now, Dengeki Online takes a look at their specialties and gameplay.

Black Bullet’s Rentaro is now one of the only three male playable characters in the game following Durarara!’s Shizuo Heiwajima and Sword Art Online’s Kirito. He is described as an orthodox fighter who excels in both mid-range and close-range combat. He can use his pistols which fire Varanium Bullets to his advantage and he can also utilize his prosthetic varanium limbs to his advantage.

He is very good in juggling opponents and keeping them in the air thanks to a series of uppercuts which are powered by that varanium arm of his. He can also keep away jumping opponents as his anti-air ability is quite good and can use his speed to neutralize opponents pretty quickly.

No sempai, this is her fight! Strike The Blood’s Yukina, another playable character like Rentaro, can keep her opponents at bay with her lance, Schneewalzer. She can thrust Schneewalzer into her opponents to knock them back and she can also use it to rush her opponents in a head-on charge both on the ground or on the air.

She can also use it to strike the ground and create shock waves and use it to “control the air” and juggle her opponents. Yukina is also skilled at using Shikigamis and she shows it in the game as well as she can use them to bring down flying or jumping opponents to the ground where she can take care of them. Well Sempai, this is definitely her fight!

Rentaro’s partner, Enju, will be joining as a support character and she will be using her powerful Rabbit Kicks to send opponents flying in the air or knock them back.

Yukina’s sempai, Kujou Akatsuki will use his vampiric powers to summon his familiars as a support character. I guess his kouhai’s constant interfering has left this powerful vampire as a mere support. He can summon the Golden Lion, Rugulus Arum to slow down and damage opponents while his Al-Nasl-Minium can neutralize opponents by keeping them afloat long enough for his partner to attack or get away.

They will also be included in the game’s console versions which will be released for the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita this Fall 2014.
