Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) officially launched its MAG（Manga-Anime Guardians） Project today. This movement aims to stop piracy by getting fans enjoy their favorite anime or manga only through legal means.
According to a statement released by METI, the ministry will start monitoring and removing copies of arounf 580 anime and manga works illegally distributed online.
The official website of the Manga-Anime Guardians Project (http://manga-anime-here.com/) lists these works and provides links to legal distributors.
