When somebody says Pokemon, Pikachu is often the very first one to come to mind as the species has now become the franchise’s most iconic Pokemon, and to celebrate the new Pokemon XY movie, a special Pikachu café has been set up in Roppongi Hills.
A Pokemon XY exhibit has also been set up in the area. It features videos and artworks from the movie and focuses not only on Pikachu, but also Diancie, Yveltal, and Xerneas and the rest of the Pokemon XY cast.
Now for the food which are just too cute to eat! Let’s start off with the Pikachu Curry which uses Turmeric Rice for Pikachu’s “head” and is served with beef curry and it costs 1,180 yen.
The PokeBall Omurice meanwhile is served with an omelet and some chicken curry. It costs 1,280 yen.
The Pikachu Teriyaki Burger meanwhile is served with a side of corn tortilla chips and salsa and the meal costs 1,080 yen.
The Children’s set meanwhile comes with a miniature version of the Pikachu curry with a side of veggies, shrimp tempura, sausages, and a Pikachu-shaped mango pudding. It all costs 980 yen.
With a tail made out of a corn tortilla, the Pikachu Curry Bun costs 400 yen and is filled with… you guessed it, Curry!
The Pikachu pancakes are served with a side of ice cream and costs 980 yen.
The Pikachu Thunderbolt parfait costs 880 yen and it comes with a Pikachu-shaped mango pudding topping and will crackle as you eat, simulating the crackle of Pikachu’s Thunderbolt attack.
The Pikachu Dessert Plate meanwhile is artwork in a plate which truly shows some craftsmanship in plating. It costs 880 yen.
Finally, the Pokemon XY yoghurt mousse cups costs 700 yen each and comes with six different flavors.
The Pokemon XY exhibit and the Pikachu café are located at the Tokyo View City in Ropponggi Hills for a limited time from July 19 – August 31, 2014.
