Russians are often described as some of the most beautiful people in the world, and thanks to an event which is sponsored by the Embassy of the Russian Federation to Japan, several of the country’s most beautiful cosplayers will be coming over for a cultural exchange through cosplay during the Cosplay Photo Festival Japan.
Anime has gained much popularity in Russia in the past few years and its burgeoning cosplay culture is on the rise as their cosplayers have truly impressed in several editions of the World Cosplay Summit.
Eight Russian cosplayers will be participating to not only promote Russian culture to Japan, but also Japan’s anime subculture to Russia. They are:
Nastya
Gesha
Frosel
Jannet
Sofia
Juk
Alina
Tis
What a unique cultural exchange indeed and it is truly a good thing that the Russian Embassy in Japan has taken a big interest in cosplay. These Russian cosplayers will be participating in various photo shoots which will be conducted by the Japanese Cosplay Photography Society and the Japan Cosplay Photo Association which co-sponsor the event.
The Cosplay Photo Festival Japan will be held at the 4th floor of TOC Ariake in Tokyo on August 16, 2014. It will not only feature the eight beautiful Russian cosplayers, but also some of Japan’s most popular cosplayers. Tickets for the event will be sold for 1,000 yen.
