Japanese Light Novel Publishers Media Factory Bunko J‘s most lovable characters have recently invaded both Akiba Square and Akihabara UDX last Sunday, July 20, 2014 in an event called Media Factory Bunko J Summer School Festival which drew a collection of many Light Novel fans.
At the entrance, fans were greeted by No Game, No Life heroine Shiro, who has definitely become very popular thanks to the success of the light novel series’ anime adaptation. Fans were also greeted by cosplayers handing out cards for Media Factory’s next event, known as the “I Like You! Romantic Comedy Fair” which will be happening this August 2014.
Illustrations featuring Media factory’s top light novel heroines were also on display during the event.
Since the event had a school festival theme, life-size standees of several MF Bunko J heroines like Louise from The Familiar of Zero, Yaya from The Unbreakable Machine Doll, Mui Aiba from Magical Warfare, and many more were on display inside a classroom setting.
Some classroom scibbles were even written down on the desks and the blackboard.
Several great Light Novel illustrations (including some pretty ecchi ones) were also on display. The ecchi corner however had a marker, meaning only those 18 years and above could enter.
Media Factory merchandise were also sold, and they feature some of their most popular characters like Sena and Yozora from Haganai, Tsukiko and Azusa from The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat, Aria from Aria The Scarlet Ammo, Yaya from The Unbreakable Machine Doll, and Shiro from No Game, No Life.
The event also announced that one of their Light Novels will be getting an anime adaptation, and that LN is Absolute Duo.
