Still wondering what happened after the Ajin: Demi-Human TV anime ended last season? Well, we are about to get some answers, as an early look at the wrap-around jacket on the original source manga’s 8th volume has revealed that there will indeed be a second season.
Vol. 8, whose limited edition bundle comes with a special episode OVA, will be released on May 6, 2016. According to the early-look photo, the second season is slated to premiere in October of this year, which means it will be part of the Fall 2016 anime season.
The OVA will be adapting the manga’s File 00 “Shinya Nakamura Incident.” Hiroaki Ando will also be directing the OVA over at Polygon Pictures, which is also adapting Gamon Sakurai’s bestselling horror manga into an animated film trilogy, with the second film, “Collision,” premiering in May 6, and the third film, “Impact,” premiering on September 23, 2016.
Meanwhile, the new season will be picking up where the first season of the TV anime left off, which just left the audiences at the edge of their seats and wondering what might happen next.
