Good Smile Company and Piapro have finally opened the voting for the 2017 edition of the snow version of the lovable virtual dive herself, Snow Miku. Last year, they went with a Hokkaido Winter Sports theme for Snow Miku 2016, and this year, both Snow Miku and Yukine’s 2017 editions will be getting a Hokkaido Star and Constellation theme!
The contest has two categories, and fans can submit their designs for the 2017 editions of wither Snow Miku or her pet, Yukine. There are six finalists for each category, and they are:
The finalists for the Snow Miku 2017 category are designed by Nibashi, Yunii, 9℃, Nishina_nishina, RAHWIA, and newrein, while the Rabbit Yukine 2017 design finalists are made by Hohho, Nijiro, COS, 7:24, LF, and JING.
Voting is now open, and fans are only allowed to vote until May 25, 2016, with each fan only allowed to have just one vote. Voting is also open to fans outside of Japan, and they can vote for their selected outfits through this link.
The winning designs will then become the official design for Snow Miku 2017 and Rabbit Yukine, and will then be turned into a Nendoroid figure. The winning designs will also be used for the Snow Miku sculpture for next year’s Annual Sapporo Snow Festival.
