Looks like we are getting a stream of time travelling anime, as a new TV anime has been announced, and it is titled “Time Travel Shouo ~Mari Waka to 8-nin no Kagakusha-tachi” or just simply, “Time Travel Girl.” A teaser website for the upcoming anime has already been opened, and it reveals that the anime will premiere in July 2016.
The teaser site also reveals the cast for the upcoming project, and it will reunite K-On!’s Yui and Tsumugi, as their respective voice actresses, Aki Toyosaki and Minako Kotobuki, have been confirmed in the anime’s two main roles. The anime will also star Toyosaki and Kotobuki’s co-members of the voice actor unit, Sphere, Haruka Tomatsu (Sword Art Online’s Asuna) and Ayahi Takagaki (Sword Art Online’s Lisbeth), as well as legendary voice actress, Kikuko Inoue Ah! My Goddess’s Belldandy). The cast comprises of:
- Aki Toyosaki as Mari Hayase
- Minako Kotobuki as Waka Mizuki
- Ryuuichi Kijima as Jun Mizuki
- Toshiyuki Morikawa as Eiji Hayase
- Tomohiro Tsuboi as Akira Mikage
- Haruka Tomatsu as Hikari Hayase
- Yui Fukuo as Rika Hayase
- Kikuko Inoue as Rei Mizuki
- Daiki Yamashita as Fuuta Ichikawa
- Ayahi Takagaki as Satsuki Kuroki
