Male yaoi fans may be considered a rarity, and the upcoming anime, Fudanshi Koukou Seikatsu, is focusing on one of them! Now, the official website to the anime about fudanshi (male yaoi fans), has revealed that the anime is slated to premiere on 5 July 2016 via AT-X.
The Fudanshi Koukou Seikatsu will be based on the web manga by Atami Michinoku. It will follow Sakaguchi, a male yaoi fan in high school, and his daily life with his friends who are either normal, gay, or girls (who are fujoshi).
Wataru Hatano is set to voice the main character, Sakaguchi, while Kenji Nojima is set to voice his normal friend, Nakamura. Aya Suzaki will voice a female fujoshi named Rumi Nishihara, while Tatsuhisa Suzuki will be voicing a gay character named Yuujirou Shiratori. Shiratori’s servant, Akira Ueda, will be voiced by Toshiki Masuda, and Daigo, another Fudanshi, will be voiced by Koutarou Nishiyama. EMT Squared will be animating the project.
