The lovable “failures” of the mecha anime, Majestic Prince, are back for their own movie, however, the film’s final title has not been decided yet. Because of this, the animated film’s staff has turned to the fans for help, and have asked the fans to suggest some interesting sub-titles for the movie.
The film is still tentatively titled Gekijouban Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince, or Majestic Prince the Movie, however, the staff thought that it would be very interesting to let the fans participate in naming the official title.
The anime’s official website is now taking suggestions for the film, and hopefully, we don’t end up with the title of Majestic Prince the Movie: Roboty McRobotface. Submission of entries will only be until August 31, 2016, with the winner being announced in September. Staff members are also allowed to join, so there is no guarantee that a fan suggestion might win.
It was previously announced that the anime will be rebroadcast this July 2016, however, unlike its original run, this re-airing of the mecha anime will include an extra episode, which is episode 25. Two episodes will be re-broadcast on the same day, and the programming bloc will be called the “Majestic Hour.”
Aside from the rebroadcast with the extra episode and the upcoming movie, it was also announced that a new light novel series about the anime will be serialized in Kono Manga Ga Sugoi! website, and it will be tentatively titled Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince Gaiden. More will be revealed on later dates.
