Issue 33 of this year’s Weekly Shonen Magazine by Kodansha will reveal that the forthcoming Attack on Titan novel is illustrated by Range Murata, the character concept designer behind steampunk anime Last Exile.
The novel entitled Kakuzetsu Toshi no Jouou is written by Ryo Kawakami. The first of the two-volume series is scheduled to be launched on August 1.
Attack on Titan has already inspired novel and manga spin-offs after its rise to popularity. Two compilation movies based on anime series will be released, with the first part to premiere this November. A live-action film is also in production.
