Voice actresses Yuka Iguchi and Yui Ogura are best known for voicing “loli” characters in anime, and to promote their latest anime, which is Yama no Susume or Encouragement of Climb, the two have recently made an appearance in a pro baseball game to throw the ceremonial first pitch.
To throw the Ceremonial first pitch is considered a great honor not only in America but also in Japan where baseball’s popularity is just as huge. Important people from US Presidents, Senators, dignitaries, Hollywood celebrities and star athletes like David Beckham and Manny Pacquiao have all made “The Throw”. And now, Yuka Iguchi and Yui Ogura have done the same.
Donning the Saitama Seibu Lions jerseys, the two were warmly welcomed over at Seibu Dome and they invited everyone to watch the new anime before both of them tried their hand at the honored pitch.
Yuka Iguchi, who voices Aoi Yukimura in the Yama no Susume anime is best known for voicing Index in the A Certain Series while Yui Ogura who voices Kokona Aoba is best known for voicing Tsukiko from the Hentai Prince series.
