The Anime Expo 2014 has already started in Los Angeles, California and it provided some very special treats like VR Rift’s Sword Art Online demo using their Oculus Rift. Japanese anime website animeanime.jp has compiled images featuring some of the cosplays from the event as well as a look at Aniplex’s booth which featured both Sword Art Online and Kill la Kill. Here are Silica and Sinon with Kirito, Mako, Ryuko and Satsuki.
It is no secret that the United States has a very large anime community who feature very dedicated anime fans. Anime Expo gave them that opportunity and they appeared in droves. It is considered as the largest anime and manga event in America (and by that, I also mean the other countries as well as South America) and it featured several cosplays which ranged from great to just plain weird. Well, let’s just say events would be quite boring without some of the weird ones. Here they are:
One of the most popular booths during the event belonged to Aniplex and it featured several great series like Mushishi, Nisekoi, World Conquest Zvezda Plot, Nanana’s Buried Treasure, Mekaku City Actors, Hanamonogatari, and the Persona 3 movie series.
But the booth’s highlight may belong to Sword Art Online II and Kill la Kill, two of their most popular series. They have even set up a photo booth featuring both series and it includes standees of Sinon, “Trap Kirito”, Mako, Ryuko and Satsuki.
The Anime Expo 2014 is currently being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center and it will only be held until July 6, 2014 (local time/ Pacific time)
